Enjoy the natural environment of Wonchi Crater with the local guides who will bring you through the villages, the forest, and trekking paths.

Length: 5,4 km

Est. Time: 1h 50min

This is the wildest trail and the most difficult to go through without a guide. Several paths walked by local communities cross each other to finally reach the main road at the height of the rest point,  on the way to the camping site and the thermal area. This 5.4 km trail crosses beautiful forests, with few houses and farmlands, up to a viewpoint on the valley which cut the crater with its small river,  inside the thick forest. After joining the main road,  it comes back to the starting point with the same path as the  Immogil Trail.

Immogil Trail

Length: 7,7 km

Est. Time: 2h 40min

Along its  7.7  km of the main attraction of the crater area: the thermal springs valley. This natural hot water area is situated in a green valley surrounded by steep hill slopes, partially covered by eucalyptus, kosso,  and juniper trees.  It consists of three natural warm pools, characterized by different water temperatures  (ranging from  32° to  38° Celcius  Degree).  Before reaching the pools area,  on the left side,  coming from the main path, you will be surprised by a thermal waterfall,  with its natural hot spring water falling down from the slope of the mountain.

Length: 20km

Est. Time: 6h 40min

This is the longest and the most challenging path among the four available ones.  This trail follows the rim of the crater,  offering some of the most beautiful views of Wonchi lake.  The whole path is 20 km long and it reaches 3351 m, the highest point of the area. After getting off the rim of the crater, the trail crosses the Gergis peninsula, reaching the  Kamsaase village, and finally joining the Fincha Trail to get back to the starting point.
